How Every Ability started
With a Saturday club in 1989. Our story, what we believe and who leads us.
Our story
It started with a Saturday club
Every Ability was started in 1989 by Tom and Lisa, whose daughter Hope has cerebral palsy. Their church didn’t know what to do with her, so they started a Saturday morning club where every child was welcome and every parent got a cup of coffee.
The club grew into family retreats, then a wheelchair ministry, then training for churches. Hope is in her thirties now and leads our church inclusion team.
